The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is one of my all-time favorite stories, which I have read multiple times.
Yes, he's not safe, not tame, but infinitely good, I absolutely agree. And best of all, He's on the loose!
Love and blessings!Martha Jane Orlandohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11620499267401065780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9009456656795153408.post-34569976592136643102016-07-12T12:14:58.259-07:002016-07-12T12:14:58.259-07:00OK, I just loved this story so much. Out of the m...OK, I just loved this story so much. Out of the mouths of babes, huh?! Virginia's version of the lyrics brought to my mind two scenes in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," speaking about Aslan (who is like Jesus). Rumor has it that's he's "on the loose" as the winter that has blighted Narnia for years is changing. Snow is melting, and things are warming up.

Quote 1: The children, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, ask about Aslan, and if he's safe:

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

Quote 2: “He'll be coming and going" he had said. "One day you'll see him and another you won't. He doesn't like being tied down...It's quite all right. He'll often drop in. Only you mustn't press him. He's wild, you know. Not like a tame lion.”

I'm glad for that, aren't you?! Not safe, not tame, but infinitely good!

GOD BLESS!

Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00840994989201507494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9009456656795153408.post-11261335574303164682016-07-11T05:52:28.375-07:002016-07-11T05:52:28.375-07:00Thank you, Bill, for sharing the story about your ...Thank you, Bill, for sharing the story about your grandson. Yes, we adults can learn so much from the little ones when we take the time to listen and appreciate their innocence.
And it is a great song, isn't it? Except now I can't sing it without putting Virginia's lyrics in the chorus. My grandson has been with us for a week's visit and last night we were watching Transformers 4. He suddenly started acting it out. Then he asked me about are we ever transformed? I said, "We are by Jesus." His words? "There is that." I love it! His father is not a follower of Christ but him mom is. And he loves his youth pastor. Back to yours: God is on the move. I have heard that song and like it a lot. Thank you for sharing more words of wisdom from young Virginia. Several years ago, in some mentoring I was doing with my pastor, I stated something about "growing with the flow" (instead of "going with the flow")--that little "mistake" wasn't such of a mistake, was it? :)

Love and blessings!Kim Jollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08670842504983601263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9009456656795153408.post-59415355653701426572016-07-08T08:20:11.227-07:002016-07-08T08:20:11.227-07:00Don't you just love Chick-Fil-A with the grand...Don't you just love Chick-Fil-A with the grandkiddos?
