Yes, ...Wonderful, reflective comment here, Melissa!
Yes, I think it is difficult at times for us to be on the receiving end of service. We don't feel worthy, that's for sure! And, as Christians, we are so attuned to being of service to others.
I like to think of Jesus' washing the feet of His disciples - the ultimate, humbling act of service. If we can think of this when we ARE being served, we can appreciate it all the more and show gratefulness to those serving us.
Thank you, as always, for stopping by and praying with me, my friend!
Blessings ever and always!Martha Jane Orlandohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11620499267401065780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9009456656795153408.post-65340762446774773102012-03-28T14:20:44.978-07:002012-03-28T14:20:44.978-07:00Oh I have experienced this in our convention. I'd dismiss help most of the times but that also means refusal of service for which these people are being paid for.

Your reflections hit me,I need to lose a lot of myself inorder to feel comfortable being served... it's not giving all the time but knowing how to receive too.

I was just reading Irene's most recent post on food and nourishment. And I find it very delightful how you both could describe food in such a delicious manner. In this case, I also wish to enjoy food as much as you do. Enjoying the meal somebody else prepared for us :)

I pray with you. May the service given and the food that we shared be extended to others who are most in need.

Thank you for your reflections Martha :)Melissa Tandochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13747825707650125721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9009456656795153408.post-35464817959238785682012-03-20T11:55:37.892-07:002012-03-20T11:55:37.892-07:00Yes, service with a smile and then some!
