So many times our wandering minds can have a way of allowing worship to be merely singing songs and thinking pleasant thoughts about God while doing so, rather than stretching our whole hearts up towards His throne and allowing the eyes of our hearts to be firmly fixed on him only. I like how you mentioned that worship is not a spectator sport. I take heed to those two basic commandments of our
Lord. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Worship, to me, is 24:7 devotion to Him. Work can be worship too, if I’m motivated by service to others. If all that I do is for the glory of God, that is worship. I think of what Jesus told the woman at the well. “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” John 4:24
I’m so grateful to have discovered your amazing daily devotions. ~ Richest blessings.Debrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02273349436461781371noreply@blogger.com
