As a church and a community, we need more affirmation of all forms of giving as part of servanthood. When love is at the core, love shines through. This inspires me to pay attention and thanks those servants more often. You were so blessed to have her in your life!
And yes, those with the gift for service make it look so easy. It's not, at least it hasn't always been for me, but when I plunge into those serving activities with an open mind and heart, I always wind up feeling I've been on the receiving end instead of the giving one. Jesus got it so right when He said, "It is better to give than to receive."
Love and blessings!Martha Jane Orlandohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11620499267401065780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9009456656795153408.post-89298482902672242242016-06-07T13:16:48.498-07:002016-06-07T13:16:48.498-07:00Martha, more of us (and that includes me!) could b...Martha, more of us (and that includes me!) could benefit from having more of a servant's heart. What a blessing to be around the Tilden and Loretta's and the Price and Esther's of the world! Those who have the gift of service make things look easy--they are in their element.

When I think of hospitality, I think of Rose, the wife of the president of my small, private undergraduate college. They hosted (in their home) the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship group I was active in at least once. Rose made us feel (or at least made me) feel SO welcome, loved.

Love and blessings!Kim Jollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08670842504983601263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9009456656795153408.post-47132812943441842942016-06-07T11:42:19.705-07:002016-06-07T11:42:19.705-07:00Amen, Bill! Too many to mention actually. People who refreshed my soul as well as others. Bill (cycleguy)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09082407231475058958noreply@blogger.com
