The Lord's Rest

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ~Matthew 11:28

I cannot begin to convey the excitement and anticipation that my husband, Danny, and I are experiencing right now.  Our granddaughter, Virginia, will be arriving on Monday, and will spend most of the month of June with us!  Oh, how we have missed her, and have counted down the days until we are reunited!

In light of this, it's time for me to take a rest from blogging in order to give my full attention to Virginia.  No doubt, our adventures together will create many ideas for future blogs, but now, I want nothing more than to simply spend time with her.

I have no doubt that we will experience the Lord's rest as we immerse ourselves in the reaffirmation of the connection we share.  My instinct tells me we'll pick right up where we left off at Thanksgiving!

That being said, please understand if I'm absent from your blogs, too.  I'll keep you all in my prayers, and I do hope I will be kept in yours for a blessed time with Virginia.

Amen!

  2. I believe you are going to have to put some heavy books on her head to slow her down. WOW! Has she grown into a beautiful young lady. I also believe (and I prophesy. LOL) that you will have a fantastic time while she visits. Tell her I said Hi and to treat you right or else. :)

  7. Forgive me for being late getting to this, Martha, but I'm glad I did. My wife and I share your heart about the precious nature of a grandparent/grandchild relationship. Our world has become so much richer since God sent them into our lives. Love finds new definitions in that realm. May God grant you all that you hope for in your time with Virginia and we will rejoice with you until you resume your writing ministry.

  10. A well-deserved rest and precious time with your granddaughter is just what you should do. I'm glad you have this time with her. You are in my prayers, especially since a recent post when you shared your journey of letting go of a long-time habit. May the Lord continue to give you victory in that.
