God Has Made It All

Psalm 121:1-2
I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from the mountains?  No, my strength comes from God who made heaven and earth and mountains. (The Message)

Five days gloriously spent in the early-spring Nantahala Mountains.  Five days overflowing with blessings in the grandeur.

In the unexpected.

In the smallest, most gentle of reminders.

God has made it all.

He is in it all.

We can see Him in the miraculous works of His hands.

We can rest in the breathtaking beauty of God's creation, knowing His kingdom is nigh.

Knowing we have the keys to that kingdom.

Heirs.

Children.

Beloved.

He calls us to move.

He calls us to love.

May we do both.

Prayer:  Father, thank You for the indescribable gift of Your creation of which you have made us stewards.  May we ever honor that blessing given from the dawn of our time with You.  May we be inspired always by the works of Your hands.  In Jesus' name, we pray.  Amen.

  1. Feedly had the pictures in huge format until I clicked on your site. Those are absolutely gorgeous pictures of the mountains (I'm not a flower person). So glad you had that time away and saw more proof of "God of Wonders beyond our galaxy."

    1. Kim, I'd love to take credit for these photos, but Danny took them all. And I agree - how can anyone look at this creation and not believe in God? All the beauty points to heaven.

  5. Hi Martha! What a wonderful retreat for you! I love being in nature, so being surrounded by all the trees and flowers would be heaven for me. Those fires? Were they purposely set? Or was it lightening? Those were very impressive photos!
I hope you are rested and refreshed :)
