Ephesians 6:1
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
Lately, I inordinately wish
All would know, speak truth in love
That they would submit, kneeling only
To the only One, of worship, worthy
He who was and is, and is to come
Reticence and retreat are not
The answer. Armor stands, strong, ready
Don it in full, display the cause
Without fear, without doubt, boldly
Venture into the den of vipers, thieves
Because you know that nothing in heaven or earth
Can separate you from God's intentions.
Amen!
May God give all of you a blessed week!
The devil is advancing throughout the world. But I believe he does so within strict parameters and limitations set by God. God allows him to go thus far ... but no further.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Amen, Victor! The devil seeks to wreak havoc in our day, but thanks be to God for the ultimate victory.

Thank you for the challenge of putting on the armor and being prepared spiritually Martha. i can't even pick one part of the poem that stands out to me. It all does. Have a great week also.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bill, for your kind words about my poem. May we all put on God's armor for the days at hand!

Powerful words for us these days. We really need that "Whole Armor of God" more than ever before! The fiery darts of the devil seem to come from the most unexpected places, and we must be ready to stand strong in Christ. So thankful for His protection and power.
ReplyDeleteI'm so thankful for God's protection and power, too, Pamela. These are dark and frightening days, indeed, and we must be spiritually armed and prepared to face them.

Clad in His armor, I'm standing a little taller and stronger ... ready.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Mevely! May we all stand tall and strong in the Lord.

A blessed week to you, Martha Jane. Thanks for sharing your poem. Amen!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome, Terri, and may you have a wonderful week, too!

Amen! Thank you, Martha, for this verse and your poem. Oh, how we need it so! Love and blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteYes, Trudy, we certainly do need the full armor of God in these trying times. Glad you liked the poem, my friend.

God is greater! Thank you, Father for providing everything we need to live a godly life through our knowledge of You.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem, my friend!
Thank you, Beckie! Yes, God is greater than anything we could ever imagine, and He will always provide for our needs.

Martha, your poem is an interesting take on the spiritual armor. We're at risk if we don't have the armor on, especially at times like this. Each morning, early on in my prayer time, I pray on each piece of the armor.
ReplyDeleteLove and blessings!
Oh, Kim, I love that you do this! I think I'm going to do that, too, beginning tomorrow during my prayer time. Thanks for sharing your practice here, my friend.

Bold and courageous. Trust in His care of us. Love and blessings, fellow warrior.
DeleteI certainly will continue to trust in the Lord, Nells!

Prayers for a God-led week for you also Ms. Martha. Wonderful words ma'am. God's blessings.
ReplyDeleteI'm so grateful my words inspired you, J. D.

Thankful for that armor of the Lord that we can put on! He has given us weapons for our warfare, and protection for it too. We are safe in His hands! Many blessings to you Martha! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Marilyn, we can rest assured that we are safe in God's hands when we don His armor.
DeleteLove and blessings!
Amen. Wishing you peace and joy.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed we all need the full armor of God! Darts are throwing at us and every angle with so much division that if we don’t put on the full armor of God we can step out of character and nature of Christ. Help us Lord to remain strong and remain a solid witness! Thanks Martha for a great reminder!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Valerie - there is so much evil being slung at us left and right, we must be prepared at every turn.

Nothing can separate us from God's intentions -- that's excellent!
ReplyDeleteAnd nothing can, Barbara! That's the good news. :)

Love this, Martha! So much truth here. God bless you, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you liked the poem, Cheryl.

Martha, this is shouting material! Powerful words. Love this: "Because you know that nothing in heaven or earth
ReplyDeleteCan separate you from God's intentions."
I'm so glad this poem spoke to your heart, Karen!

beautiful. I am finishing up my retreat and the armor of God has been one of meditation scriptures.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, Jean, what a coincidence! I do think these times are calling us urgently to don the full armor of the Lord. Slings and arrows are too numerous to bear if we don't.
