God's Intentions

Ephesians 6:1
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

Lately, I inordinately wish
All would know, speak truth in love
That they would submit, kneeling only
To the only One, of worship, worthy
He who was and is, and is to come
Reticence and retreat are not
The answer.  Armor stands, strong, ready
Don it in full, display the cause
Without fear, without doubt, boldly
Venture into the den of vipers, thieves
Because you know that nothing in heaven or earth
Can separate you from God's intentions.

Amen!

May God give all of you a blessed week!

  1. The devil is advancing throughout the world. But I believe he does so within strict parameters and limitations set by God. God allows him to go thus far ... but no further.

    God bless.

  3. Powerful words for us these days. We really need that "Whole Armor of God" more than ever before! The fiery darts of the devil seem to come from the most unexpected places, and we must be ready to stand strong in Christ. So thankful for His protection and power.

  8. Martha, your poem is an interesting take on the spiritual armor. We're at risk if we don't have the armor on, especially at times like this. Each morning, early on in my prayer time, I pray on each piece of the armor.

  11. Yes indeed we all need the full armor of God! Darts are throwing at us and every angle with so much division that if we don’t put on the full armor of God we can step out of character and nature of Christ. Help us Lord to remain strong and remain a solid witness! Thanks Martha for a great reminder!
