Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Seven years ago today, our oldest granddaughter, Virginia Rose, arrives, filling our lives with joy and our hearts with love. My, sweet girl, it doesn't seem possible that so much time has flown by since you were born! So today, let's take a look back to see how much you have grown.
So tiny!
Changing by the month . . .
First Birthday - We keep wondering when you'll get hair!
Second Birthday
Third Birthday
Fourth Birthday with Racer in tow!
Fifth Birthday - a new backpack to start kindergarten
Sixth Birthday - celebrated at the beach with your Mom and Dad, aunts, uncles and cousins
But we celebrate when you get back home.
And here you are at VBS, a mere month away from turning seven!
Happy Birthday, Virginia Rose! Never forget that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that God loves you always!
And you did grow that hair after all, didn't you?
Thanks for sharing, Martha...
ReplyDeleteIt let me run through those same "pictures" in my mind for my grandson who is now eight.
Oh, I'm so glad these photos made you think of your grandson, Roy! Yes, grands are the best!

I LOVE this V. Rose Parade! (She looks a little like Wonder Woman in that 4th picture. ;) )
ReplyDeleteLOL, Sandra, she does!!! Didn't even think of that when I posted it. Glad you enjoyed Virginia's parade here today.

Such a sweet tribute to a special little Blessing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pam! She is, indeed, such a blessing to us all.

She is such a little beauty! And her hair is lovely! My! Don't they grow up way too quickly? They just don't stay babies for long! You are blessed to be able to enjoy spending so much time with your grandchildren! That is such a joy! Thank you for letting us be a part of Virginia Rose's birthday today!! Happy Birthday, Virginia Rose! P.S. Martha, I am in the middle of "Redemption" right now...going to write my reviews when I get through all 3...I couldn't wait to dig right in to #2 after finishing #1 Revenge! I had to see what was happening! So glad you sent all 3 at once! I'd be going crazy if I had to wait!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you, Pamela! Yes, they do grow up way too quickly, it seems, though I've loved every moment with her through the years. At least I still have two toddlers to love on - Savannah is three and Alexandra turns two this Sunday. Yes, Virginia and she have birthdays two days apart!
DeleteOnce again, I'm so happy to hear that the books have drawn you in! Yes, I knew I needed to send all three at once so you wouldn't lose track of the story line. Looking forward to your reviews!

Precocious. Those eyes tell a story. I bet she tells them (sort of like someone else I know real close to her).
ReplyDeleteYou are right on the money with that observation, Bill. Virginia always has a story to tell - there are times, I have to admit, that she wouldn't talk so much. Lol!

Martha, I enjoyed getting to see a few selected photos of Miss Virginia Rose--she's growing up so fast! Happy Birthday Virginia Rose!!

She is growing up so fast, Kim, yes! I was able to get some good photos of the actual birthday party on Saturday for her and sister, Alexandra, whose birthday is the 23rd. Hope that will be featured on the next blog!
