Hope

So, the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth. ~Job 5:16

We are silent

For now

The threats

Too incredible

To bear

But at polls

Our voices

Will ring out

For justice

And mercy

For hope

Not denied

From the One

Who gives hope

Eternally

We will trust

And believe

We will live

In promised land

And forefathers

Will rejoice

In the offering

Amen!

  2. Amen! I am surrounded by the media mob and yet I know my hope is not in who becomes president but in the only One who is the hope giver and life giver. Thanks Martha.

  6. Martha, your poem is so powerful. And I love the imagery of injustice shuts its mouth from that verse in Job.

  7. I mailed my ballot in this week. Praying for God's love to cover us all, regardless of any one person that sits in a big house in Washington, DC. God is always bigger, stronger, and best! Appreciate your prayers for our nation, Martha!

    1. God is ever large and in charge, Lisa, and we can rest in the knowledge that He is ultimately in control of all things. I'm still waiting for my absentee ballot to show up. Then, I plan to drop in a secure box for that purpose only. Not trusting the mail very much these days!

  8. Oh, dear Lord, have mercy on us all. I pray and cry often over the state of our country, and I often wonder what the sound of over 60 million murdered babies crying out to God from the ground must sound like. I plead with God to have mercy on us for the sake of the future babies that will be killed if the wrong people take control. A shudder comes over my spirit to think how deceived even the "church" world is and how people's eyes are so blinded to the truth by the lying media. May God have mercy and override the mail-in fraud and all of the other demonic activity that is taking place, and may right win in this election. Praying hard along with you, dear friend.
