Matthew 2:1-2
After Jesus was born in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him."
And then upon a midnight clear
When shrouding clouds fled in fear
Light of the world, in babe, appeared
Love and hope and faith revealed
Amen!
Amen!

Thanks and blessings, Martha. Don't you just love how the wise men (probably astrologers) followed a star to find the Baby Jesus. They found the Lord, then followed God's warning and went home another way. Priceless!
ReplyDeleteYes, Mary, I've always loved the story of the wise men in the Bible, and how God helped them outwit Herod. Glad you liked the poem!
