My Heart is Real

Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses.  For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. ~Romans 8:26

My heart is wanting

More than I

Know how to

Rightly ask

Words evade

Thoughts elope

Sorrows perch

On quivering limb

My heart is crying

Bleeding, torn

Seeking hope

Beyond the now

Where everything

Seems silent

Voice of comfort

Passes by

My heart is healing

In the stillness

Steadfast, firm

Words unspoken

Convey with strength

The power beyond

My fragile mind

At last, I know

My heart is real

Amen

  1. Indeed, it is in the dark difficult moments that we can feel the sweet presence of the Lord so real, so precious, and so comforting. I pray that the Lord brings comfort to your heart in the midst of your sorrow and loss. Sending love, hugs and prayers :)

  2. When we are so tired, exhausted and at our wit's end that we can pray no more; that is when the Holy Spirit prays for us. Take courage, Martha. You are loved by God.

Remember the story of the men who carried a paralysed man in his bed. When they got to Jesus, they could not get near Him; so they went on the roof of the house, took off the tiles and lowered the bed with the man to Jesus.

The sick man was exhausted and very ill. He could pray no longer. He relied on the faith of his friends who did something good for him. Their faith saved him.

I, and many others, are praying for you.

    God bless.

    1. Thank you, Victor, for retelling the story of this man whose friends' faith and love saw him through so Jesus could heal him. Yes, the prayers and faith of others is valuable beyond measure to our hearts, and I'm so thankful for your prayers and the prayers of others.

  4. Dearest Martha Jane,
Yes, it is very tough for having to walk through a deep valley of our life... But we never walk alone! There are kind people that surround us and great us and try to perk us up. We ALL are walking towards the very same goal and no doubt we will make it there 'together'.
    Big all around hugs,
    Mariette

  14. Beautifully written, I understand your situation. I am grateful God is all loving, so kind, no prejudice against anyone who wants Him to show them the way. I just do not know what I would do if God did not love me so much. The wacky world, the heatwave, being tired all the time, not getting good rest, those are all the things I bring to Him. I do you do too. But it is good for others to share in our trials. Take care. Know I am praying for you.

In the Letting Go
