Fragile Flower

The grass withers and flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. ~Isaiah 40:8

Fragile flower torn

From root, plucked too soon, yet

Knows eternal bliss

May we always trust

God's love amidst the chaos

Rest at peace with Him.

May we continue to pray for the victims of the recent outbreaks of horrific storms that have plagued the heartland of out nation, and know God is with us through it all.

  3. We hunkered down in our basement late Sunday afternoon, listening to 60-70 mph winds and then 5-6 minutes of hail (pea-sized, fortunately). Sometimes you're reminded that God's love is what indeed matters in all the chaos.

  5. I cross-stitched and framed that Scripture verse many years ago (the 1980's). It still hangs in our hallway as a reminder of God's greatness. 💙

  12. I am sorry to hear you have such crazy weather. I pray for restoration of seasons. We have had so much rain, I am thinking of building a boat (joke). We live below sea level, so it is not such a bad idea.

    1. We certainly have had our share of bad weather this spring in the States, Marja. It always impresses me when I'm reminded that in the Netherlands, much of the land is below sea level. An impressive example of the ingenuity we have been given by God.
