Sing a New Song

Danny and I in his new music studio

Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. ~Psalm 96:1

A new song shall I sing unto the Lord

When I, in doubt, surrender to His might

In fears I've faced, forgiveness love, finds

Me, through Him who will forever fight

For justice, peace, truth, righteousness

Though earth dissolve, faith will not betray

God's Word, His pledge, His presence, promises.

His mercies new at dawn of every day.

Amen!

Didn't know you both were into music!
    Faith indeed will not betray.

    1. Danny and I sang contemporary Christian music for years at our former church, and are now praising God through song in our new one. We are so grateful to be learning some new songs and rehearsing some older ones, Mariette.

  4. Danny is feeling better!? That's wonderful! Nice studio. Oh, I wish I was musically gifted. I tried to learn the guitar and the flute when I was a kid but have zero musical talent. I do like to sing (doesn't mean I'm any good though ... lol). Y'all have a great day. 💙

    1. He is feeling well these days, Sparky, praise the Lord! His doctor gave him the all-clear to play guitar and sing, and this is so healing for him and for me. Whether you can sing or not, you can always praise God with the gifts He gave you.

    1. For his birthday last year, Danny's sons gave him a state of the art upgrade for his studio and helped him set it up. Needless to say, Danny was thrilled! It's a great way to be able to learn and record songs of praise, new and old. I think Danny will be putting some of recordings on his Facebook account soon, Pamela.

  15. Wow... I'm impressed, Martha--yet another gift God has given you guys that I didn't know about. It's such an encouraging thing to see how many ways God has at His disposal to equip and empower His servants to bring HIs Kingdom to earth. And once again, the picture of Danny's studio adds visual depth to the words and helps to highlight the message you expressed so poetically. Thank you for inviting us into your home and heart for another inspiring visit and God bless you for continuing to keep the light of His Truth shining.

    1. Thank you once again, Ron, for your kind and generous words here. We are so blessed to have a venue in which we can sing praises to the Lord in our new church, and we are learning some new contemporary Christian songs as we return to the tried and true ones we sang in the past. This brings both of us such joy and fulfillment, and keeps our focus on God instead of our earthly worries. Isn't that what He wants from us?

I'm glad Mr. Danny is feeling better and praying your voice remains strong and vibrant throughout. Is this new studio in your home? How cool is that?! God's blessings, ma'am.
