The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. ~Acts 5:41
They mandated
They proclaimed
Against the witnesses
Who wouldn't, couldn't
Deny their Lord
The "they" lost
In the long run
For Word lived then
Is living now
Truth from God
Stands as witness
Through eternity
Amen!
How many people are too shy to proclaim their belief in God! How sad.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I know, Victor. Let us stand up for the Lord!

Shy...or maybe just fearful?
DeleteYes, Sandi, they could be fearful, especially in this chaotic climate.

Standing against the odds is rare these days. But we must.
ReplyDeleteYes, Bill, we must. It is what Jesus calls us to do.

We need the boldness back in America to stand up for Christ unashamedly born out of intimacy with Him. No longer should we assume someone else will share truths. I know some day we will give account for what we also did not do when we knew we should. I look back at the times I felt the urging to share with someone but out of fear I did not and later felt the pangs of missing a divine appointment.
ReplyDeleteThese are the days in which we must be brave and stand up for the Lord, Valerie. We can't, as you say, assume someone else will do this for us. May His full armor protect us as we stand strong for Him!

Forever and ever, amen!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Myra!

Amen. The question is, "Are you ready?"
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, J. D.! Are we ready? We must be, for everything is at stake for the sake of God's kingdom.

Amen!
ReplyDeleteYes, Nells, amen and amen, again!

Beautiful! Amen and AMEN!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Diane!

Amen, Martha! May we, God's children be ready, willing, able to stand strong in our faith and face the consequences. The apostles faced the consequences and many of our Brothers and Sisters in hostile nations are currently facing the consequences of Jesus' Name.
ReplyDeleteLove and blessings!
We do need to stand strong, Kim, and pray for those who face more consequences than we have yet to suffer in these United States. But we know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the devil and his minions are out to get us. Let us not be afraid of confrontation and sacrifice when it comes to speaking God's truth.

Yes, Lord, grant us courage to live and speak for you in spite of derision and the refusal of some to even consider the reality of Jesus Christ and what he offers. We want to stand strong for you! (Thank you for your inspiration, Martha!)
ReplyDeleteI so appreciate you affirmation here, Nancy! We do need to stand strong and speak out when His will is being thwarted. It is our life's purpose for His name's sake!
DeleteLove and blessings!
Yes indeed. God's Truth will live forever. Amen!
ReplyDeleteYes, it will, Laurie! May we live that out in our lives each and every day.

Amen! 'Thy Word is truth {John 17:17}. Holding fast to the Lord, His Word, His plans in this rocky season ...
ReplyDeleteHolding fast to God's promises has what made me get through these times, and that will never end. Trusting in Him, Linda!

Yes, praise God, His Word is forever settled in Heaven, never to be altered or obliterated by man. I am so thankful we have this to build our lives upon in these crazy times. God bless you, Martha!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Cheryl! God's Word is eternal.
