There is the Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God at the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. ~John 1:1-3

There is the Word

There is a choice

One stands eternal

Other one deceives

One would look

With eyes unjaded

On the obvious

Yet, obfuscated

Is the truth

By the liar

From the beginning

Awake, our souls

To learn, discern

The voice of the Lord

Cry out for mercy

Plead forgiveness

Embrace God's grace

And pass it on

To those who trespass

Amen!

No one can detest the existence of a God/Creator!
Your line:'Yet, obfuscated Is the truth By the liar' is a FACT as well.

  12. We've been reading the Creation story in Genesis this week in our devotions. It is so wonderful to know that God spoke the word and the worlds were created...and that "In the Beginning the Word was with God, and the Word was God!" All that was made was made by Him...Jesus Christ, the Word of God!

  13. Martha, this verse completely recalibrates our focus and brings it back to God's power, plan, and purposes. 'The things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.'

Thank you for this needed nudge to look upward!
