Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? ~Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12
What would any of us do without our friends? I didn't know on that day I met Cheryl at Homespun Devotions in Blogland that friends are exactly what we would become. So, when Cheryl approached me to do an Inner View with her on her blog, I was delighted beyond measure.
Many of my readers here are new ones, and you may not yet be acquainted with my novels, or know much about me. For both new and forever readers here, Cheryl offers and in-depth interview with me, which includes memories of my childhood and the life experiences which shaped the writing of The Glade Series and Adventures in The Glade. To read this inner view, visit Cheryl's blog here!
Best of all, if you leave Cheryl a comment, you will be automatically entered to win all the novels in The Glade Serie and Adventures in The Glade! Already have copies? Enter again anyway! You can always bless someone else with some wholesome, Christian-themed stories.
While you're there, please share this blog to your social media feeds, and sign up to receive Homespun Devotions in your inbox. I guarantee that Cheryl will soon become your friend, too!
Love and blessings to all!
CONGRATULATIONS - going to Cheryl's Blog now. I wish to enter the draw, but because of postage costs, if I win please donate the books to whoever you feel would benefit from them the most.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
You are too sweet, Victor. Thank you!

I am a fan of Racer and friends! (I'd enter the giveaway but I already have them all.)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you have all the novels, Glynn, and that you've enjoyed them. Warms my heart!

Dearest Martha Jane,
ReplyDeleteThat was a very open revealing of your background.
Well, you and I must have a mutual love for Squirrels. As a child I devoured the books by Mia Bruyn-Ouwehand about 'Marieke and the Squirrel', in Dutch of course and all ten of them. Little did I know that later I would get a pet squirrel after rescuing it from the neighbor's cat. https://mariettesbacktobasics.blogspot.com/2017/05/our-pet-squirrel-eekie-dachshund-mauzie.html
Hugs,
Mariette
If you love squirrels like you obviously do, Mariette, then you will definitely love these novels. Hope to see you leaving a comment over at Cheryl's place.

Dearest Martha Jane,
DeleteLeft her two comments but she did not 'yet' (?) release them...
Hugs,
Mariette
Don't worry, she will, Mariette. :)
DeleteShe DID!
DeleteTerrific!!!
DeleteWhat a sweet verse to accompany this post! Indeed, life would be pretty bleak without our friends.
ReplyDeleteI feel blessed to have this series on the bookshelf behind me -- as well as your generous gifting another set so I might pass to our church's library.
I look forward to reading Cheryl's interview!
I'm so thrilled you have the novels, Myra, and that you've enjoyed them. Yes, if you read Cheryl's interview, you'll get lots of background as to how these stories came about. Glad you liked the verse, too!

How wonderful! Yes, these books deserve to be noticed! I loved these stories and perhaps I should re-read them. They were so special, as is the author!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Pamela, you are so very kind. Thank you!

I enjoyed reading your inner view on Cheryl's blog. I have always believed that our life experiences strongly impact what we write and we are blessed when our Father gives us the courage to record it for others to read. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Katherine, and thank you so much for your kind words here! Our experiences definitely flavor and color what we write, I agree. I'm so thankful to the Father for giving me these gifts.
DeleteLove and blessings!
I loved reading your novels Martha and recommend them to anyone who likes to just "get away" while reading.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Bill! That you are a fan means the world to me.
DeleteLove and blessings!
This is so great, Martha! Heading that way now to read more about you!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Karen!

I loved reading your "inner view" and learning so much more about you. I didn't know a lot of those painful heartaches that you've been through. :( I pray the Lord's blessings on you and Danny for a long, long time!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed the inner view, Lisa. I must admit, it was difficult for me to be so candid, but if my experiences can touch the lives of others, it is worth it. Thanks for wishing Danny and me the Lord's blessings!

Good to have friends - and a Friend.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, David. And we do have our best friend in Jesus.
DeleteLove and blessings!
Looks like they are having a lovely time. Hugs and blessings to your and yours, Martha
ReplyDeleteHi, Nells! Yes, the kids had a great vacation.

It is wonderful to have friends and friends who share so much with us. Your verse from Scripture was written on my parents wedding certificate. Unfortuantely my sister took all those things. I do have the wedding photo of my maternal grandparents my aunt gave me when my uncle LOuie passed away. I lost my grandmother when I was in the 6th grade but she was my BFF forever. Have a blessed day. HUGS and LOVE
