Inner Views and a Give-Away!

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:  If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.  But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.  Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.  But how can one keep warm alone? ~Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12

What would any of us do without our friends?  I didn't know on that day I met Cheryl at Homespun Devotions in Blogland that friends are exactly what we would become.  So, when Cheryl approached me to do an Inner View with her on her blog, I was delighted beyond measure.

Many of my readers here are new ones, and you may not yet be acquainted with my novels, or know much about me.  For both new and forever readers here, Cheryl offers and in-depth interview with me, which includes memories of my childhood and the life experiences which shaped the writing of The Glade Series and Adventures in The Glade.  To read this inner view, visit Cheryl's blog here!

Best of all, if you leave Cheryl a comment, you will be automatically entered to win all the novels in The Glade Serie and Adventures in The Glade!  Already have copies?  Enter again anyway!  You can always bless someone else with some wholesome, Christian-themed stories.

While you're there, please share this blog to your social media feeds, and sign up to receive Homespun Devotions in your inbox.  I guarantee that Cheryl will soon become your friend, too!

Love and blessings to all!

  1. CONGRATULATIONS - going to Cheryl's Blog now. I wish to enter the draw, but because of postage costs, if I win please donate the books to whoever you feel would benefit from them the most.

    God bless.

  3. Dearest Martha Jane,
That was a very open revealing of your background.
Well, you and I must have a mutual love for Squirrels. As a child I devoured the books by Mia Bruyn-Ouwehand about 'Marieke and the Squirrel', in Dutch of course and all ten of them. Little did I know that later I would get a pet squirrel after rescuing it from the neighbor's cat. https://mariettesbacktobasics.blogspot.com/2017/05/our-pet-squirrel-eekie-dachshund-mauzie.html
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  4. What a sweet verse to accompany this post! Indeed, life would be pretty bleak without our friends.

I feel blessed to have this series on the bookshelf behind me -- as well as your generous gifting another set so I might pass to our church's library.

I look forward to reading Cheryl's interview!

  12. I enjoyed reading your inner view on Cheryl's blog. I have always believed that our life experiences strongly impact what we write and we are blessed when our Father gives us the courage to record it for others to read. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.

  18. It is wonderful to have friends and friends who share so much with us. Your verse from Scripture was written on my parents wedding certificate. Unfortuantely my sister took all those things. I do have the wedding photo of my maternal grandparents my aunt gave me when my uncle LOuie passed away. I lost my grandmother when I was in the 6th grade but she was my BFF forever. Have a blessed day. HUGS and LOVE
