My Days Unfold

And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. ~Mark 13:10

My days unfold

May they be lived

Embracing love

You've given me

In blessings grand

May I be bold

To share Your love

With those in need

Ears ache for message

Hearts yearn for truth

I pray to be

Your messenger, a sign

To all who wander

All who wonder

Where the answers are

Amen

  1. This is something we often forget. Our role and responsibility is to preach God's Good News as best we can. By being an example to others.

Thanx Martha for your good works. God bless.

    1. Yes, Victor, it truly is our first responsibility coming right after loving our God and our neighbor. I pray my platform here has caused some to pause and reflect upon what Jesus has done for us all.

  2. There is such a lack of true knowledge about God out there in the world today. People are disregarding truth in every aspect of life, because it goes against what they WANT to believe or what they WANT to DO. But we must continue to be vigilant to share the truth wherever we are and in whatever way is available. Sometimes we have to use the voice of a little child to lead them...that is something I am discovering a little at a time. Some smart people use the voices of woodland creatures found "in the Glade"... and that is a very wonderful way to reach a lost world. Thank you for doing your part, dear friend.

    1. Oh, Pamela, your words are just too kind here in your reference to The Glade! Yes, sometimes the woodland creatures can teach us so much about God's love and how important it is for us to BE the gospel for others. I hope and pray that I can reach others for Christ; as Victor said, it's really what we should be about.

  3. We chase after so much that the world calls "the truth," when it's sitting right there, staring at us.

  6. I love what Victor's said about being an example to others. Not only should we be His messenger, we need to remember we're constantly being watched.
.....Which begs an earworm. Do you remember, "The Night has a Thousand Eyes"? (*smile*)

Thank you for blessing us with another great poem!

    1. Yes, Mevely, we are being watched, and I do recall that song. :) So, we need to be mindful of how we respond to others and the example we set. Jesus said people would know we were disciples by our love. Let us make it so!

  15. Amen Martha.. it's the main reason we're still here to be lights "before a crooked and perverse generation " to quote the Lord Jesus.. as in His day, so the hearts of men are today.. like the two thieves.. one crying out in mockery the other crying out in weak faith.
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless and keep you and all whom you love safe and well.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz. X
