"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people." ~Matthew 4:19
As many of you already know, Blogger's use of Feed Burner, the service that has allowed people to subscribe to blogs by email, is going away in July. Why? Beats me! But thankfully, there is a way around this dilemma for all of you amazing readers out there.
A site called Follow It is graciously stepping in to save the day. With the help of another blogging friend (thanks a million, Marja!), I've managed to provide a way for you all to keep receiving email notifications.
Simply copy this link and paste it in your browser:
https://follow.it/marthaorlando?action=followPub
Then, follow the simple directions. You'll be signed up in no time!
Now, there may be some instances, before Feed Burner disappears, that you will be doubly emailed, but that shouldn't last long. Additionally, since I'm not on social media, I would appreciate you all sharing this particular blog post to your feed on Facebook, Twitter, etc. I would love to add more readers to my blog!
This new connection should work for you all, but if for some reason it doesn't, simply Google Meditations of My Heart, and my blog will show up. With few exceptions, I post on Tuesdays and Fridays, so you can jot down a reminder note to yourself.
I do so love all of you, my followers, here at the blog, and would be heartbroken to lose any of you.
But you know what I love most of all? Being a follower of Jesus! No clicks, no links required. We only have to respond with willingness and submission to heed His call to our hearts.
If you've not yet decided to follow Jesus, to ask Him into your life, I hope and pray that today is the day you do!
Amen!
Mom Update: She will be transported to a truly lovely assisted living home tomorrow. We've been in an absolute tizzy this week making all the necessary arrangements, but it's paid off. Mom does understand, at least at this point, why she had to go there instead of coming home. Your continued prayers for her adjustment and further healing are so very greatly appreciated!
I am praying for your Mom and for you all. Rest assured, I do not need Feedburner to pray for you all.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
No Feedburner necessary for prayer, Victor, and that's a good thing!

So glad your mom is understanding about the move and hope she will find the new place to her liking!
ReplyDeleteShe got there this morning and it seems like she is adjusting for the time being. It is a beautiful place, Martha.

I've still not made my decision about Feedburner, but sure appreciate you providing us this info. Thank you! Continued prayers, not only for your mom but you, Danny and your brother.
ReplyDeletePS - I'll be sharing on FB later today.
Thanks for the share on FB, Myra. Know that I get your blog through the blogger feed, so we won't lose touch! Thanks for the prayers, too, my friend.

Dearest Martha Jane,
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well today with moving your Mom!
Sending you love and prayers,
Mariette
Thank you, Mariette! Yes, she is moved in, we have visited with her, and will go back to see her again tomorrow.

DeleteThanks!
DeletePraying for your Mom even as we speak, Martha. I trust that her adjustment to her new residence will do her a world of good, in all the ways that matters most.
ReplyDeleteHe whispers peace, doesn't He ...
Thank you so much, Linda. Mom does realize she's in an assisted living residence, and she also knows she is incapable of getting care at home in the shape she's currently in. Yes, God's peace . . .

Praying all is going well with your Mother's transition to the new "home". Praying she will adjust there and begin to heal and thrive. I will continue to follow you here on Blogger. I haven't quite figured out the email thingy and what to do, so will wait and see what develops before I make any decisions. I don't think I have that many people who are true followers who aren't also on blogger. At least those are the only ones who ever comment, and that's really all I'm concerned about at this time. But we shall see...Let me know how this goes. And how things go with your Mom. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the "switch", Pamela. I follow you through Blogger, too, but have lots of friends who use Wordpress that need to know how to continue to get the blog.
DeleteYes, Mom arrived at her new home this morning, and we're all praying she will thrive there. It's truly a beautiful place with caring staff.
Love and blessings!
I continue to pray for your mom and your family as this transition happens. You made a good decision!! Love & hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Terri. I do think we've made the right choice.

Will sure be continuing to pray ma'am.
ReplyDeleteThanks, J. D. Much appreciated!

Subscribed to you on follow it. :-) Continued prayers for your mom, Martha!

ReplyDeleteWow. I had not heard about FeedBurner. Thanks for the info, Martha. God Bless you and your family. I can imagine this was such a difficult decision about your mother. HUGS.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the info was helpful to you, Diane. Thanks for the prayers in this difficult time.

From my end, it appears I am on your list. Let me know if I am not, please. TECHNOLOGY!!!

I'm sure you are, Lulu, since you signed up.

Praying for a smooth adjustment. Most of all, peace in your mother's mind and spirit. So many of us have been/are going through similar circumstances. Praying grace and wisdom for you through it all.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Barbara.

I get my blogs via Feedly. I don't know if that is Feedburner or not. I guess I will see. Also praying for all of you in this adventure with your mom.
ReplyDeleteFeedly is different than Feedburner, so you should continue to receive the blog, Bill. If you don't, just let me know.
DeleteThanks for the prayers!
Love and blessings!
I pray your mom quickly adjusts to her new surroundings and makes friends with other residences and among the care staff, Martha!
ReplyDeleteThat is our hope, too, Nancy, but she has taken a turn for the worst and is back in the hospital. Details on my latest blog.
